Over 500 Jefferson County residents sign petitions seeking a state constitution amendment to switch lawmakers’ salaries from a lump sum two year payment to a monthly system. Organizers of the Greater Jefferson County Chamber of Commerce urge returns by April 9 and note notarization will occur by mid month.
