Mrs Lydia A Sharp 79 of Palmyra Illinois died Wednesday at home in Palmyra. Funeral services set for 2:00 pm Saturday at Park Funeral Home Rochester with surviving children including Dale F Sharp of Mt Vernon and several other descendants.
Mr and Mrs Bobby Kash of Chicago Heights Ill are the parents of a son born March 19 in a city hospital weighing nine pounds two ounces named Michael Dean. A son was born to Mr and Mrs Leroy Ewing of 53044 Grand at 8 15 last night in Good Samaritan hospital named Esque Leroy. Mr and Mrs Louis Schmidt of RFD 3 Vernon have a daughter born at 6 07 last night in Good Samaritan hospital weighing nine pounds five ounces named Donella Sue. Bill D Robertson of 1911 Cherry at 12 48 this morning in Good Samaritan hospital weighing six pounds one ounce.

The attackers damaged the safe door enough to force authorities to use a torch later to finish the opening.

The Rev. Paul Sulcer of Lesser will return to the First Free Will Baptist church at 11th and Jordan as pastor this Sunday succeeding Rev. Oren Kersh who goes to Pleasant View Free Will Baptist church. Sulcer from Oak Grove Free Will Baptist will be aided by his wife Dottie a pianist and church worker. They have remained members of Mt. New York reports first live transatlantic broadcasts planned for spring with 10 to 20 minute programs exchanged via Telstar satellite. Telstar, funded by AT&T and built with NASA, will launch late May or June to relay live scenes from Europe and America. European Broadcasting Union members meet in Seville to coordinate the exchange and potential links to Eurovision and Intervision.
