Mae Hussey 78 died at 5 30 am Sunday at 617 Lamar. Funeral 2 00 pm Tuesday at Pulley Funeral Home Chapel. Born February 19 1877 in Mt Vernon she married Nathan Hussey in 1900 who preceded her in death. Family of four slain in Tennessee farm killings

A Tennessee family of four was found slain on their Rock Island farm. Billy Gibbs, 23, already jailed for selling the mules and pigs from the Bratcher farm, is charged as a murder suspect after officers uncovered a chain of thefts and the baby’s body in a cistern. The victims are Henry Bratcher, 44, his wife, 42, daughter Lily May, 10, and the 20 month old granddaughter. Gibbs admitted thefts but denied the killings.

Capture 550 Rattlesnakes in Annual Hunt

OKEENE Okla It was too cold for rattlesnakes as 550 snakes were captured in the 16th annual Okeene Rattlesnake Roundup. No bites occurred amid icy winds drawing 16 000 to 18 000 spectators. The biggest snake weighed 5 4 pounds and sold for 25 50. The total weight was a record low of 779 pounds with a prior expectation of 2 000.
