The Women’s Tome Missionary Society of the First M. I. Church will gather Tuesday afternoon on the church’s first floor at 2:50 p.m. A large attendance is urged.

The 1921 Mt Vernon carnival opens the week of April 4 with a complete new outfit from Russell Shows. The Giant Seaplane Aerial Ride soars forty feet in a 90 foot circle, alongside Whip, Ferris Wheel, and Parker galloping-horse merry-go-round. All rides are new, high class and suitable for ladies and children without escorts, offering features not before seen in Mt Vernon amusements.
Community interests of Mt Vernon will be discussed at a series of April Sunday night meetings. Hosted at the Christian church, sessions are led by the Jefferson County Medical Association, the Chamber of Commerce, Public School officials, and the Bar Association. Dr Todd P Wood will lead the first meeting on April 3.
General Woman's Club will hold a postponed meeting on Thursday March 31 at 2 50 p m at the American Legion Hall. Members will cast half its vote for club officers. Officers will be elected at the April meeting. Bring a pencil. Pres Mary Casey Frost Seey Mrs G C Bond.
