Roy C Greene of Route 7 died yesterday at 3 40 p m in Jefferson Memorial Hospital Funeral services are set for Sunday at 2 00 p m at Bluford Funeral Home with Rev Guy Williams officiating Burial will follow in East Hickory Grove Cemetery Friends may call after 4 00 p m Saturday He was born September 30 1902 in Jefferson County son of Alec and Sarah Brookman Greene He married Ethel Williams February 24 1922 in Mt Vernon She survives along with five sons Ernest L Greene Quincy Ivan Greene Gurnee William Leo Greene Aurora Jimmie Greene McHenry Dennis Greene Elgin one daughter Donna Harris Elgin eight grandchildren four sisters Nora French Texico Inaz Medders Route 4 Eva Pigg Route 7 and twin sister Sylvia Hayes Route a He was preceded by parents one brother and two sisters plus was a retired farmer and tax assessor for Webber township He belonged to Harmony Baptist Church
