Maxey of Lincoln Illinois died at 10 40 a m in Lincoln at age 50 9 months 12 days He was a former Mr Vernon resident Funeral services set for 1 30 p m Monday at Myers Chapel Rev Ross Partridge officiating Burial in Oakdale cemetery north of Bluford He will lie in state at Myers Chapel after 4 p m Sunday Survivors include his mother Alice Maxey of Mt Vernon two brothers L Vernon Maxey of Mt Vernon and Edwin K Maxey of Lincoln a sister Mrs D D Taylor of Brownsville Texas and his wife Arlette Johnson whom he married Sept 18 1945 He was predeceased by his father and three brothers Mrs Maxey served as a glider pilot in World War II He belonged to Lawrenceville American Legion Lawrenceville AF AM Lodge and with his brother operated Maxey Drug Store in Lincoln
