Stricken While Riding Through Mt. Vernon Dies
Carroll Ray Wallace of Sturgis died after suffering a heart attack while driving a truck through Mount Vernon yesterday. He collapsed at 11:20 am and died at 3:10 pm at Jefferson Memorial Hospital. Wallace, operator of a Sturgis truck company, was a passenger in his own truck driven by another man. His body was sent to a Sturgis funeral home for services scheduled in Sturgis Friday.
