Oberth warns atomic weapons will deter all wars
Prof. Herman Oberth, honorary president of the German Society for Space Research, says twelve more months of research could yield rockets carrying atomic bombs able to devastate any spot on earth within 43 minutes. He predicts all major cities could be destroyed in a matter of hours and that leaders would refrain from war to avoid their own death sentence.
