Lenora Alcorn 32 of Mahomet died at 1 30 a m in a Champaign hospital. Daughter of Mrs Kate Pasley and the late Hiram Pasley. Survived by husband Paul and three children Connie 8 Jimmy 5 and Paulette 1. Funeral Thursday afternoon at Mahomet Methodist Church.

Dancer to Appear At Annual Auxiliary Style Show Here

Miss Farrel, a Ford's School of Dancing pupil in St. Louis, has appeared in the Light Opera Guilds Blossom Time Countess Maritza Rose Marie and The Merry Widow productions. She danced with St. Louis Municipal Opera's The Red Mill at age 11. Tickets for Fashions of Fifty are available through AMVET Auxiliary members or by calling Ferne Webb at 2948-J-X. Granada Theatre doors open Wednesday at 1 p.m. Shirley Ann Crouch of Herrin Ill, will perform acrobatics at the show.

Mt. Vernon students led a parade through town with out of town visitors. Two backfiring Model A Fords added noise while policemen waved and two coaches drove decorated cars. Roy Albert Hall Rites Planned in Nason

Funeral services for Roy Albert Hall of Nason are set for Wednesday at 2 00 p m at the Free Will Baptist church in Nason. Interment will follow in Abner Cemetery. The body will lie in state at the family residence until the hour of service after a brief illness.

Births Bring Diane Jerry and David Paul into World

A daughter named Diane was born March 19 to Mr and Mrs William R Baugh of Evansville Indiana. She is the daughter of Doris Ethel Webb of this city. A son named Jerry Allen arrived March 20 at Missouri Baptist Hospital in St Louis to Mr and Mrs Robert W Pesek of St Louis. He weighed six pounds five ounces. His mother is Thelma Pace of this city. A son named David Paul weighed seven pounds 12 ounces at birth March 19 at the Naval Hospital Great Lakes to QM1 C and Mrs Joseph Lynch of Great Lakes Illinois. Lynch is the son of Mr and Mrs Paul Lynch of the Salem Road.

Russ Whalers Returning After Successful Antarctic Season

Soviet newspapers report the Russian whaling fleet is returning from the Antarctic after a highly successful season. The flotilla commander said by radio that the Soviet catch in the Antarctic is increasing yearly.

Awarded Farm Feed Diploma to Joe L Sutton

Joe L Sutton received a diploma for completing a training program in scientific farm management feeding and sanitation at a graduation ceremony last week at the Deming Hotel in Terre Haute Indiana. R V Kirk presented the diploma and noted Sutton is now a Graduate Feeding Advisor. he also received a class ring from Ralston Purina Company for outstanding work. Sutton, employed by Sutton's Hatchery Mt Vernon feed dealer, began the program about fourteen months ago, attending classrooms and field trips with demonstrations of the latest livestock and poultry feeding methods and completing required field work between meetings.

Cox Infant Dies at Good Samaritan Hospital

Elizabeth Ann Cox infant of Mr and Mrs Howard Cox of 617 S 19th street died at 6 30 am seven hours after birth. Services by Rev Bird Green at Bethel cemetery at 10 am Wednesday. Survived by the parents and two brothers.

Miss Carmen Moore Weds Vern E Wilson in East St. Louis

An informal reception followed at Mrs Mc Carty’s home and a short honeymoon will precede residence at 1320 N Monroe Peoria Illinois. Franklin P T A Meeting Slides Into Lincoln School

Pleasant Grove PTA Meeting Announced For March and April

Mrs Frances Dial and Mrs Glen Northcut visited. The next Pleasant Grove PTA meeting will be at Mrs Minnie Whites home 725 Dewey on April 17 at 1 pm.
