J Marvin Whitson Rites Set at Osborn Funeral Home

Funeral services for J Marvin Whitson are set for 2 00 p m Thursday at Osborn Funeral Home Dix with Rev Lester Riley officiating. Burial follows in Jordan Chapel cemetery. The 63 year old Texico resident died Monday at his home after a lengthy military and civic life. He was born May 17 1898 in Texico to John and Sarah Whitson. He married Evelyn Garrison in Chicago on April 17 1929, who survives with a son and three daughters. He leaves a brother, four sisters and 19 grandchildren. predeceased by three brothers and a grandson. A WW I Navy veteran, he belonged to veterans groups and the Union Chapel Methodist Church. Military rites will be conducted.

Ambrose Beagle Dies At Danville Rites At Quincy

Amrose Beagle 88 died Monday at the Veterans Hospital in Danville. Funeral services set Thursday at the Soldiers Home Chapel in Quincy with burial in Sunset Cemetery. He served in the Spanish American War under General Pavey and was a World War I veteran.

Earl Williamson of Livermore California died early this morning in two Livermore hospitals. A former resident of Belle Rive and Bluford he will be buried in Livermore after funeral services.
