Minder Bernard was stillborn Thursday at Fairfield Memorial Hospital. He was the son of Kenneth and Valerie Minder of McLeansboro. Graveside services were held at 3:30 p.m. at Douglas Cemetery Eldorado with Rev. Steven Phillips officiating. Gholson Funeral Home of McLeansboro arranged the services. Survived by parents, grandparents Nancy Eblin and Bart Kkin, and Mrs. Chilish Minder, all of McLeansboro, and great grandparents Guy Eblin of McLeansboro and Charlie Smiley of Eldorado.

Car Strikes Child Minor Injuries in City Crash

A seven-year-old boy Corey Mitch ell received minor facial cuts after darting into a southbound car at 12th and Lamar. Driver Arthur Herrman said he slowed, but a pickup passed and the child ran into the path. another child was not struck. At 3:40 p.m. Thursday a three-car crash on Jordan Avenue caused minor injuries to two others and major damage to all three vehicles. Police charged Kaye Gregory with careless driving. Delila Sullivan and Syed Baghdadi faced careless driving charges in separate incidents.
