Fred Lowns of Streator died Thursday in a nursing home at Ottawa. He was the father of Mrs. Leslie Ayers and Ms. Leona Jones of Mt. Vernon and is survived by grandchildren and great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Saturday in Streator with burial in Riverview Cemetery. The body will lie in state at Hagi Funeral Home in Streator. He was preceded in death by his wife Helen and by his son William on Feb. 27.
