Lawsuit Filed Over 1972 Stan the Tire Man Fire
Conrad Croy owner of a building damaged in the January 18 1972 fire at the corner of 12th and Main Streets filed a circuit court suit against Stan the Tire Man Inc seeking 43223 97 dollars. He asks that Aetna Life and Casualty be paid the judgment. The suit claims the Stan the Tire Man employee's negligence caused the blaze that destroyed the Stan distributorship and damaged two Croy buildings. Croy and his wife were rescued by firefighters after being trapped on the second floor. He requests a jury trial.
