Bonnie Men Indicted On Kidnap Robbery Charges
A Jefferson county grand jury indicted two Bonnie men on 13 charges for abducting and robbing two teenagers. Jerry Allen, 30, faces seven counts including armed robbery. William Allen, 23, faces six counts. Both held on bonds of 80,000 and 75,000 respectively. Deputies say the suspects drove the youths, demanded ransom, and split up wallets before authorities arrested them at Bonnie dam. Two other individuals, Herbert Goosby and James Andy Rich, were also indicted for armed violence and burglary respectively. Goosby held on 5,000 bond. Rich jailed for burglary with prior release for surgery.

Joe Robinson, 1613 McPherson, reported at 10:58 p.m. Thursday that a man wearing a ski mask attempted to rob him at knife point in the south end of Optimist Park. LaRue Given Six Months in Jail in Watergate Coverup
Frederick C. LaRue, first to plead guilty in the Watergate coverup and last to be sentenced, drew a six month term from Judge John J. Sirica. The Mississippi oil heir admitted conspiring to obstruct justice and taking more than $300,000 in hush money while aiding plan of the coverup.
