Relatives report the death of William Piercy 67, a former Jefferson county resident, at his Shabbona Illinois home in DeKalb county. Born April 5 1888 in Boyd, he was the eldest of 13 children, married to Mayme Tinsley, and survived by his wife a son Clifford two grandchildren a great grandchild his mother Susie Piercy eight sisters and three brothers.

Noel Claybourn of Benton died at Franklin Hospital Monday at 2 a.m. at age 63. He is survived by his wife Ollie Potter of Mt Vernon, a daughter Ruth Johnson of Evansville, a son Bobbie of Springfield Missouri, and seven grandchildren. Funeral services are Wednesday at 2:30 p.m. at First Methodist Church in Benton with the body in state at Drake Funeral Home.
