Three accidents were reported Thursday with no injuries. Crat Simons of New Era Michigan was fined $14 by Justice J. R. Thomas for faulty brakes after his car hit a truck on Tenth Street near Newby at 1:55 p.m. Esther Jamuita Davis of 909 Perkins skid on an oil spill in the 1100 block of South 26th Street and overturned, but she escaped injury. At 6:30 p.m. Glenn E. Willis and Leroy Voyles were involved in a collision in the 2500 block of Broadway.

Woodlawn Hospital reported 957 emergency patients in four months with 355 receiving free treatment. CHICAGO Ill A suburban Hinsdale couple is in police custody for a new larceny method. Robert Jager 25 and Patricia Jager 22 say they used the scheme on at least nine occasions totaling 850 dollars. The wife shed her coat to distract then the husband walked out. She posed as a saleswoman to empty the cash register before reuniting with him. An alert clerk alerted authorities ending the scheme.

Man killed by train at Joliet grade crossing
