LOUIS AP A $9,000 a week drug sales ring was busted Thursday when three Illinois men were arrested and a large quantity of narcotics seized Detective John Corrona said the seizure of 29,000 methamphetamine tablets was the citys largest drug haul in four years. Illinois Senate Passes Bill On Ethics Statements

The Illinois Senate approved 49 to 2 a bill to allow Walker appointees and local candidates 10 days after enactment to file ethics statements. The measure, based on a House bill by Rep. Gilbert Deavers, would shorten the grace period from 30 days. Deavers planned to seek House acceptance of the Senate amendments next week.
