Survived by wife Edna Spencer King, a son Herbert, two daughters Lena Page Nina Batts, seven grandchildren, two great grandchildren, two sisters Alice Cockrum and Maude Morris. Born July 9 1872 in Franklin County, son of Joan W and Eliza Morris King. He attended Ewing College Academy and belonged to Ewing Missionary Baptist church.

Mountain Lion Attack Hunter in McCOY Colorado
Jimmy Day, 60, a government trapper, dived into a snowbank to escape a wounded mountain lion. Ira Virden, 42, a McCoy rancher, killed the animal after chasing it since January 16 for preying on 18 of Virden’s sheep and 11 deer. Day said the lion charged after dogs treed it, and seven shots from Virden’s .22 caliber pistol ended the animal.
