100th Anniversary Of Little Brown Church In The Vale
The centennial observance of The Little Brown Church in the Vale will be held this weekend at Nashua Iowa. Dr William S Pitts wrote the song on June 14 1857 inspired by his meeting Ann Elize Warren in Madison Wisconsin and the Fredericksburg settlement. The song was first performed at the church dedication in 1864 and later published in Chicago.
