C H Mossberger of Carmi former Jefferson County superintendent of schools died at 6 30 this morning aged 76 He taught in Jefferson county schools and served as county superintendent in 1922 He was born April 23 1880 in White county and survived by three children and a brother Elvis Funeral services will be held Sunday afternoon in Carmi.

James M White former Sims resident dies at 63
James Monroe White, 63, formerly of Sims and a Detroit resident, died Wednesday at Industrial Hospital in De. He was born October 10 in Wayne county, son of Joseph and Nan Ann Palfreman White. He married Reba Osborn of Sims on March 28, 1939. Funeral services will be held Friday at Sims Baptist church, with burial at Thomason Cemetery. His body will lie in state at Richer Mortuary in Wayne City. He is survived by two brothers Finis of Fairfield and Sam of Sandoval, and by three sisters Laura Snear of Ann Arbor and Mrs. Breha Brown of Sims.
