Police reported several thefts early this morning. A 1976 Oldsmobile Cutlass owned by Rickey L. Osborn was stolen from the 800 block of Oakland Avenue between 1 p.m. Thursday and 1 a.m. today. the car’s keys were left on the dash. The Silver vehicle has a blue vinyl top, a damaged right fender, and license plates beginning with RT. A vent-window break at Ivan Walker’s home on 704 S. 12th Street allowed thieves to steal a CB radio, a tape player, a CB speaker, a tape case, and 24 eight track tapes. A CB radio was stolen from Donald McKinnon’s truck at the Regal 8 Inn before 4:20 a.m. Thieves also took a CB radio from a truck at the inn.

Delbert Moore in Critical Condition After Car Crash
Delbert Moore, 43, of Route 2 Woodlawn, remained in critical condition in the intensive care unit at Good Samaritan Hospital this morning with injuries from a single vehicle accident early Monday. A passerby found his overturned car on Richview Road two miles south of Cravat before 5:30 a.m. Rescue workers freed Moore from the heavily damaged vehicle. Deputies now say the crash occurred at about 5:10 a.m. Monday, shortly before it was discovered.
