Amanda Jenkins died at 1 45 am at her home 721 South 17th Street Dahlgren age 90 years eight months eight days Funeral services set for Thursday 2 pm at Dahlgren Baptist Church Rev John Maulding to officiate burial in I O O F Cemetery Dahlgren. She was born November 18 1864 in McLeansboro to William and Mary Hunter. Survivors include three sons Rev John Jenkins Hopkinsville Ky Russell F and George E Jenkins Mt Vernon. three daughters Ethel Kennedy Mt Vernon Sophia Plasters Sterling and Fannie Rogers Cape Girardeau Mo. 18 grandchildren 27 great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren. She was predeceased by three sons two brothers and three sisters.

Henry Orval Raney aged 65 years three months five days, of 1017 Herbert Street, died at 9 30 this morning at Jefferson Memorial Hospital after a four day stay. A painter by trade, he will be laid to rest Wednesday at 2 00 PM in Myers Chapel with Rev Bird Green officiating. The body will lie in Myers Chapel after 4 00 PM today for friends to call. He was born April 21 1890 in Jefferson County, a son of Thomas A and Sarah Bennet Raney, lifelong resident of the county. Surviving are two brothers J A and William Raney of Mt Vernon and a sister Julia Sutton Burnette.
