Rescuers Spend Out Old Mine
SPRING CITY MO Workers reached the bottom of an abandoned mine where a collie dog had kept a 25 day vigil at the shaft mouth and found only a small bone. Volunteers pumped out the flooded mine as thousands visited hoping for clues about a possible owner who tumbled into the mine. Miners Ted Hymer and Oscar Uber were lowered down and confirmed the empty bottom apart from the bone.

Thieves Try to Steal 700-Pound Weld Wire
