PLO Admitted to UN Economic Agency Amid Israeli U S Alarm

Innocent Plea in Northlake Arson Deaths
Everett Bowen 34 pleaded innocent in Cook County Circuit Court to arson and murder charges related to a July 2 fire that killed his three children Sherrie 12 Julie 8 and Mark 5. Bowen allegedly set the blaze to harass his estranged wife Evelyn who escaped with another son. Bowen had prior harassment arrests.

Man Killed In Fall At Nuclear Plant Site
An iron worker from Chicago, Patrick Nugent aged 51, died after a fall at Commonwealth Edison’s nuclear power plant construction site south of Seneca. State police said he fell through a plywood cover over a large hole and was pronounced dead at the scene by LaSalle county coroner Marion Osborne.

Four Teenagers Critical After Two-Truck Crash Near El Paso
A semitrailer rear-ended a pickup carrying a corn detasseling crew, injuring four teens who remained in critical condition with slight improvements. Eleven others had minor injuries as bystanders helped scatter along a roadside ditch. The truck driver, Terrence Turner, 34, said he failed to stop in time after downshifting and saw the collision coming at 45 to 50 mph. The detasseling crew, employed by Pfister Hybrid Corn Co., included Kathy McKay, Brian Bauer, Todd Skolek, and Tom Armstrong, all from nearby towns. Turner and another worker were treated and released.
