Ten amateur Jefferson county artists display 73 works at the Regional Town and Country Art Show held in the Southern Hinds University Campus student center. The exhibit runs July 15 to 20, 11 am to 9 pm with free admission. Calico Phoenix by Mrs. George Byars was chosen for the State Art Show in October. honorable mentions went to Mrs. Roy Simpson for The Appellate Court Mt. Vernon Illinois and Mrs. Robert Noel for October Sunshine. Local residents urged to visit. 23 works were selected for Urbana show and 14 received honorable mention.
