Deaths and Roy Marshall Funeral Sunday In Oklahoma

Roy Marshall of Sentinel Oklahoma died Friday at his home after living in Sentinel for 26 years and formerly in Mt. Vernon. He was aged 4 and had been assistant manager of the Western Auto store in Mt. Vernon. He belonged to the Careenters Union local. Funeral services were held Sunday at 1 p.m. in Sentinel with burial there. Survived by three daughters Elena Nelson Byron Calif Iris Martin Tulsa Alene Barnes Sentinel a daughter in law Betty Marshall Mt. Vernon and 13 grandchildren including three of his deceased son Roy Jr. who died in 1958.

Mt Vernon Pilots Enjoy Great Day at Kentucky Lake

Mt Vernon Pilots Association members from Mt Vernon gathered at Kentucky Lake for the first group flight of the year, using six planes to reach the Gilbertsville Dam area for boating swimming and golfing.
