Mr Cook, a former Vernon resident, died Monday at his Pinellas Park Florida home. He is survived by his wife Nova of Pinellas Park, daughter Lucille Lemme of Normal Illinois, son Noble Cook of Detroit Michigan, two stepsons Harley Harlow of Abilene Texas and Everett Harlow of Chicago.

Mt. Vernon high school board will advertise bids next week for a new classroom building, remodel of old Building B, and a new heating plant.
