Luther Upton officiating. burial in Ten Mile cemetery. Lying in state 4 to 9 p.m. today at Gholson. Survived by wife Viola three grandchildren son Dean of Maryville Tennessee two brothers William A Houston Donald St. Louis and sister Dorothy Hood McLeansboro.

Evangelist Billy Graham opened a 10 day Upper Midwest Crusade at the Minnesota State Fairgrounds in St Paul urging citizens to resist escapism.
