FBI Hunts For Illinois Girl Missing Since July
The FBI joined the search for 17 year old Mellie Joyce Spencer of Green Rock Illinois who has been missing since July 5. A federal warrant was issued in Rock Island charging Thomas Bellows 20 of Davenport Iowa with flight to avoid prosecution after a Henry County Illinois warrant charged him with kidnapping. Mellie and Bellows had planned to wed, and the sister said a companion waited in a car while Bellows forced Mellie to leave.
