Rosiclare ledge and fluorspar mine to halt all mining and milling for July, affecting H Ronk and about 260 workers. Three Cities to Get Natural Gas Service
The Illinois Commerce Commission authorized construction of natural gas lines to Eldorado Harrisburg and Raleigh. An affiliate of Southeastern Illinois Gas Company will build over 10 miles of distribution facilities linking the three communities to a large pipeline. Construction costs were estimated, and completion should lower fuel rates where butane gas currently serves.
