Frank Joy 59 of 213 Opdyke Avenue died at home Wednesday night. Funeral 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Myers Chapel with Rev. C W Coats. burial Oakwood cemetery. Survivors include wife Jeannette Smith Joy three daughters two sisters two brothers mother Lottie Joy and a granddaughter Joy Elizabeth Sargent. World War II veteran and East Side Baptist Church member.
Theodore W Fuller 70 of Irvington died at 3 55 a m Wednesday at St Marys Hospital Centralia after a long illness. Funeral at 2 p m Saturday at Irvington United Methodist Church with Rev John Annable officiating. Burial in Fouts Cemetery east of Irvington. Queen Boggs Funeral Home Centralia 6 p m to 9 p m Friday and until 10 a m Saturday. Body may be viewed at church 11 a m until funeral hour. He was born in Woodlawn on April 16 1903 son of Henry and Sarah Williams Fuller. He married Louise Bodino t on May 31 1923 in Mt Vernon. Survives include wife two sons T W Fuller Jr of West Covina California and Donald Fuller of Albuquerque New Mexico a daughter Mrs Mary Frances Atchison of Irvington two brothers Harley and Fred both of Woodlawn a sister Mrs Dorothy Westfall of Woodlawn and four grandchildren.
Mrs. Joy Jines 77 of 320 S 13th St died at 7 p m Wednesday at Good Samaritan Hospital. Services 11 a m Friday Myers Chapel with Dr Clyde Funkhouser officiating. Burial West Salem Cemetery. Born June 2 1896 Belle Rive daughter of Isaac and Mattie Hampton she was married to Earl Jines who preceded her in death. Member of First United Methodist Church and Eastern Star White Shrine and Rebekah lodges. Survived by sister in law Mrs Jennie Hampton Evansville Ind.
A panel truck at 2007 Lake St. was broken into early Wednesday. Thieves cut a door window after 2:30 a.m. and took a 12 string guitar, two amplifiers, four speakers, two radial horns, a microphone, and two microphone stands totaling 3824. Names of suspects or further details were not provided.
Washington AP President Nixon signed a law raising Social Security benefits by at least 5.6 percent for 30 million recipients, effective July 1, 1974, with potential 5.8 percent if living-cost computations rise.
