Funeral for Mrs Pearl Holland Held at Smith Chapel
Funeral services for 67 year old Mrs Pearl Holland of 210 Castleton Avenue were conducted at 1 30 p m at Smith Chapel Baptist church northeast of McLeansboro with burial in Blooming Grove cemetery. She died Sunday morning after a lingering illness born April 10 1888 in White County daughter of G W and Catherine Stewart. She married Wilburn Holland in 1908 at McLeansboro and he survives. She was a Baptist and member of the Royal Neighbors of America. Survivors include her husband two daughters Mrs J H Carr of Mt Vernon and Mrs Albert Lynch of East St Louis two brothers Fred and Cloyd Stewart of Springerton four grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

It is the first Mt Vernon directory since 1951 and includes a residence listing, telephone numbers, street guide, city and county officials, 46 church names and addresses, 33 civic and fraternal organizations, 26 unions, and school faculty listings.
