Lightning Kills Baseball Player in Helena Game
A 16 year old baseball player, Robert Freeman Morris of Anaconda, Montana, was killed when lightning struck the Helena vs Anaconda American Legion junior game. Seven others were injured, with several knocked to the ground and others stunned. Morris was struck on the head, his cap torn and one shoe torn off. Parents were in the crowd.
