Mrs Earl Boster died at her home in Chicago Heights and is survived by a daughter. Funeral services and burial will be held in Chicago Heights Monday afternoon. She is the niece of the late J M Boster, formerly of Mt Vernon, and Mrs J M Boster of 516 South 17th Street was notified.
Bill J. Brunhurst, 24, escaped serious injury when a Santa Fe freight caboose, detached from a trailing train, struck his car at a crossing on the city outskirts Friday night. He said the train was not in sight as he entered the tracks. the caboose then hit him, became separated, and rolled away before the train backed up and retrieved it.
A federal warrant has been issued for George A. French, 40, a teller at Southern Illinois National Bank of East St. Louis. French, employed 17 years, is accused of taking $6,079 over five years. U.S. Attorney Clifford M. Raemer said French will surrender under the warrant Monday.
Federal bank examiners in Lewisville Texas studied the First National Bank books after $253000 was found missing. Cashier E R Jake Wolters, 16 year employee, shot himself three days before bank closure. Reed Dolan, chief bank examiner, said he could only surmise what happened to the funds.
Firemen were called at 11 45 last night to a house trailer at 226 Castleton Avenue occupied by Tom Edmison. Oil poured into a heater spilled on the floor and ignited. Edmison smothered the fire with a blanket. Damage described as slight.
Mr and Mrs Kenneth Ezell of RFD 3 Mr Vernon welcomed a son named Stephen Kenneth born at 6 16 Friday evening weighing eight pounds nine ounces. Mr and Mrs Merle Bigley of RFD 7 Mr Vernon announced a seven pound son born at 2 09 am today in Good Samaritan Hospital and he is unnamed.

Donald Lee Elliston of Waltonville and Fayelda Mae Champ of Woodlawn.

She was escorted by heavyweight boxer Barry Deetz after a drunken stumble, but she completed the trip unharmed.

Funeral services for Mrs Ona Rogers were held at the Baptist church with Rev John E B Maulding officiating. burial in I O O F cemetery. Mrs Rogers had lived in Dahlgren for several years.
McLeansboro reports include Buford Davis being held in Hamilton county jail for automobile theft after admitting to stealing a 1949 Ford belonging to Blairsville storekeeper Gifford Nelson. Nelson’s car was found near Ponsetville, Indiana.
