Antha Dieterich 78 of 312 south 15th street died at 6:30 a.m. at her home. Born July 15, 1887 in Jefferson county she was the daughter of Frank and Marietta Green. Circuit Court fines eight for traffic offenses

Eight persons were fined in circuit court yesterday for various traffic offenses. Joseph Yardley of Ina faced no valid safety test with a $10 fine, Joe Griffin of Coloma Mich had no splash guards with a $20 fine, Allen W. of Garrison Opdyke careless driving $10, David Somers of 2003 Casey avenue speeding $15, Allen Johnson of 717 Herbert following too close with license forfeiture, Lawrence Hall of East St. Louis careless driving with license forfeiture, Jean Carver of 1200 South 26th failure to yield right of way $10, and Irvin Latta of 1507 South 12th driving while intoxicated $100.

Five Sentenced in Circuit Court for Auto Theft and Burglary

Judge Charles E. Jones sentenced five defendants in Circuit Court after guilty pleas to auto theft and burglary. Jerry Hutchison 21 received one year in prison and five years probation on a burglary count. Gary Golden 18 received three years probation with eight months at State Farm Vandalia for auto theft. Others, Richard Ragan 23 David Rainey 21 and James Boldrey 19, got five years probation with restitution and costs. Donald Lowery 24 and James Smith 30 pleaded not guilty to theft of metal and rape respectively and were arraigned.

Gas Leak Blasts Level Four Indianapolis Homes

Three explosions and a gas-fed fire destroyed four houses on the Indianapolis West Side. Seven people were injured, none fatally. Fire officials attributed the blasts to gas leaks as crews shut a damaged main and evacuated surrounding homes.

Bethel Tabernacle Office Burglarized on Tenth Street

Burglars broke into the Bethel Tabernacle church office on South Tenth Street last night and stole about 70 in offering money from a revival. A glass in a door was broken to gain entry and other items were taken, according to Rev. Ace Summers.

Firemen Make Two Runs Here

Mr. Vernon firemen made two runs Wednesday. At 11 30 last night they were called to the home of Mickey Trout 1913 Casey where an overheated oi heater caused a fire scare. There was no fire damage. Earlier Wednesday firemen were called to the Clincon Bell parking lot Johnson and Broadway where anti freeze leaking from a car caused heavy steam and a fire scare. There was no fire.
