Funeral services for William Edward Eddie Wiggins will be held Monday at 1:00 p.m. at Old Mt. Zion church north of Bluford with Rev. Bird Green officiating. burial in Old Mt. Zion cemetery. Friends may call at Osborn Funeral Home in Dix until noon Friday and at the family home after 2:00 p.m. Friday. Wiggins died yesterday at 11:20 a.m. at the farm home five miles north of Bluford where he was born. He was born January 5, 1896, son of Sheridan and Almeda Minor Wiggins. He first married Lula Cutright, then in 1944 to Helen Burgess, who survives. Also surviving are his mother Almeda Wiggins of Wayne City, three sons Leland Gerald and Charley, all of Detroit, four sisters Pearl Fry of Gerard, Effie Fry of Sedgewickville, Minnie Bradford of Bluford and Grace Pierce of Detroit, and eight grandchildren.

Belleville Ill January 27 drivers and mechanics of the Belleville Saint Louis Coach Company voted to strike Saturday morning with the first bus at 4 20 a m. The firm runs 75 buses on five city routes and lines to Sparta Scott Air Force Base and St Louis. 55 Dismissed From State Jobs
Springfield Illinois January 27 Governor Stevenson's office announced that 55 people on the Illinois Commerce Commission payroll were dismissed. Twenty two were cut at year end 1948 ten days before the new Democratic administration took over. The remaining 33 dismissals occurred after Stevenson took office with effective date January 31.
