Burial in Ten Post Oak cemetery. Born March 25, 1905 in Wayne County, he was the son of Ben Canning and Anna Garrod. Survived by four sons Francie, George, Clay, and Ivan. two daughters Joyce McKiness and Betty Lenz. 11 grandchildren. exwife Dessie Opal Donoho preceded him in death in 1940. He was also preceded by an infant daughter and a brother.
