Airmen Rescued After Mercy Flight Forced Landing
Eleven Canadian Air Force airmen spent a frigid night on a Hudson Bay icefield after their plane diverted to aid Harold Dunn, a transport radio operator ill with a stomach ailment. Cops Steal $1500 From Billiard Hall
In Peoria Illinois on January 22 four police squads investigated a burglary at Nick Chelikasi Billiard Hall after a call. Chelikasi later reported $1500 missing from his safe. Detectives Doebler and Owens were charged with larceny and held to the grand jury after waiving preliminary hearing. Elizabeth Pease, 26, was charged with larceny for concealing the money.
