A retired building contractor born May 1 1888 in Illinois he was married to Leta Maxey who died earlier and later to Leona Jones who survives. He leaves a son Albert Jones in Albuquerque two daughters Lucille Jones Medford Oregon and Mrs G A Stoltenburg Medford Oregon a sister Mrs Samantha Harrison Detroit Michigan and several grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Saturday at Strong Thorne Funeral Home in Albuquerque with burial there.

He completed his sophomore year via Mt Vernon Township High School intercom. Services will be at 2:00 p m Saturday at Prairie Christian Church, of which he was a member, with burial in Memorial Gardens at Mt Vernon. The body lies in state at Fry Funeral Home in Waltonville after 6:00 p m Friday. He was born Oct 8, 1947, son of Marion and Norma Kirkpatrick. Survived by two brothers Mark and Steven, three sisters Sharon, Deborah, Leah, and his grandparents Luther Kirkpatrick and Opal Osborn.

Widow's Son Fatally Wounds Suitor in Suburban St Louis
In St Louis, Karl H. Marker, 46, from Normandy, was wounded fatally by 18-year-old Joseph E. Dunham who objected to Marker's visits to his widowed mother. Marker was shot in the leg with a .22 rifle at the Sycamore Hills home. Dunham admitted the shooting from his mother's door and was booked on murder suspicion.

Mother and five children die in fire at Minetto home
In Minetto New York a mother Valera Petrie 35 and five children died when a two story frame house burned on Wednesday night. Their 17 year old son described the family escape attempts while the father Tunis Petrie suffered burns and smoke inhalation and two other children were injured. The fire began in a dining room heater and a 12 year old boy leaped from a second story window. The dog King also perished.
