Ernest R. Rawls, 73, of McLeansboro died at 3:00 p.m. Monday in Hamilton Memorial Hospital from injuries suffered in a January 7 automobile accident. Services were held at Donelson Funeral Home with Rev. Rudolph Schlag officiating. Burial followed in Blooming Grove Cemetery. He was born December 3, 1891, in Hamilton County, son of James and Abbigail Cook Rawls, and married to Nona Pearl Gain. Survived by a son S/Sgt. Wilburn R. Rawls, two daughters Helen Moser and Imogene Lowery, a brother Olan Rawls, three sisters Alma Parkhill, Ona Peyton, Ola Brown, and five grandchildren. He was a member of Blooming Grove Baptist Church.
