Decatur Illinois Power Company warns that if January weather does not improve by week end it may ask large firm industrial users to cut gas use. The firm operates eight underground storage areas and reported a 24 hour delivery record of 760 million cubic feet. Executive vice president Gerstner noted no curtailment yet for firm customers but urged all users to conserve, including lowering thermostat settings and drawing shades at night.
