Roy Eash 60 died at 10 00 am Friday at his Benicia California home after what appeared to be a heart attack. He was born November 24 1904 in Hopedale Illinois son of John and Mrs Eash. He married Sue Schultz and is survived by a brother Earl Eash of Hopedale Illinois and sister-in-law Clara Green of Mt Vernon route 7 Illinois. Funeral services and burial will be in Benicia California.

Four people were killed and one seriously injured when their automobile collided with a Chicago and North Western passenger train at a crossing east of Ashton Illinois. The car had Tennessee license plates and the victims lived in the Compton area in Lee County. No other details were available.

In 1964 Illinois drilled 1 577 new tests down 16 percent from 1963 while producers rose to 47 4 percent success from 49 5 percent last year. Seven oil wells tested producing in December in Clay City and nearby Clay County, bringing 1964 totals to about 17. Production centers on the Aux Vases sand at 2950 feet with some from Benoist sand and Mee Closky lime. Initial output ranged 10 to 150 barrels daily. Four wells reworked old holes abandoned 10 years ago. Illinois December production estimated at 5 737 000 barrels.
