Motorcycle Hits Dog on Highway Injuring Rider
Harold Burchell of Benton sustained a fracture of his right collar bone and bruises yesterday afternoon when his motorcycle struck a dog on Route 148 five miles southeast of Mt. Vernon. He received treatment from a Mt. Vernon doctor. Burchell said the dog ran into the highway causing the crash. the dog appeared to recover and walked away after the incident.

Early at 8 50 a m they were summoned to 1010 South 25th for an electric short that damaged a refrigerator motor at Mrs Helen Blaine’s home.

Theft of tools from Mrs Yearwood workshop
The theft report states tools were taken from a workshop at Mrs Maggie Yearwood 305 Jordan Street. A brace and bit pine wrench set of small wrenches and a hatchet were stolen value about 15 dollars.
