Red Cross Seeks Flood Relief Donations Locally
Mrs. James Setzekorn, local Red Cross chapter chairwoman, said the relief effort will cost about 5.8 million dollars for flooded areas in northern California and Oregon where 20 669 families lost homes. A disaster staff of 346 specialists plus volunteers and agencies will oversee six to eight weeks of recovery work. Donations can be sent to the local chapter, with checks payable to the American Red Cross.
