A powerful snow wind storm raged from the Northwest coast through Redmond Oregon with 60 to 78 mph winds. Seattle’s Weather Bureau says it ranks among the city’s worst storms as 10 inches of snow blanketed the area and the thermometer stood 13 degrees above the previous night. Grays Harbor fishing boats were grounded or sunk while the Coast Guard guided vessels to port through swirling snow on Puget Sound.
