Freida Ethel Creel 63 died at home in Ashley on Wednesday. Funeral service set for 2:00 p.m. Saturday at Hogan Funeral Home Ashley with Rev. Lowell Pugh officiating. Burial is Mt. Zion cemetery east of Ashley. She was born November 1, 1898 in Johnson County, daughter of William and Elsie Hawes. Survived by husband Frank Creel and brother Herman Hawes of Carbondale.
