He was the son of David and Sarah Colbert Laird and the last survivor in his family. Survivors include a nephew and nieces. A World War I veteran, he belonged to the American Legion post and Veterans of World War I Mt. Vernon. Military rites will be conducted.

Berserk guard kills two then self near Navy building
