Born in Elk Prairie township to Dan and Etta Peterson, she leaves daughter Lillian of Florida and Katherine of Poplar Bluff, sister Mrs. T C Miller, and cousin Mrs. Ray Kirk of this city. Funeral arrangements are pending.

Truck Overturns Two Injured In Accidents South Of Mt. Vernon
Two persons were injured in separate incidents south of Mt. Vernon. Jesse McDaniels of Tamms, Illinois, was hurt at 1:30 a.m. when a high trucks trailer went into a ditch on state route 37 four miles south of Mt. Vernon and overturned. The cab caught fire and contents burned. A passing driver took McDaniels to the Veterans Hospital in Marion for injuries not seen as serious. Firefighters extinguished the blaze and the truck was damaged. At 7:35 p.m. another collision at the Brownsville and Bethel Roads left Ronald C. Willmore hurt. Robert R. Miller, driving while intoxicated, was charged.
