Death of Mrs Nancy Clark 95 in McLeansboro

Mrs Nancy Clark 95 of McLeansboro died 3 20 pm Monday at Carmi Township Hospital. Funeral 2 pm Wednesday at Gholson Funeral Home with Rev Clifton Galliger officiating. Burial in McLeansboro Odd Fellows cemetery. Call after 6 pm today at the funeral home. She was born March 9 1875 in Hamilton County daughter of Harvey and Sarah Richeson. She married William Clark who preceded her in death. Survived by three sons James Melvin and Jewell Clark all of McLeansboro eight grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

Mrs. Nora Kittinger, 85, of McLeansboro, died at 9 p.m. Monday at Hamilton Memorial Hospital in McLeansboro. Funeral arrangements are incomplete at Gholson Funeral Home in McLeansboro.

Logan Street Baptist Church of Mt. Vernon surpassed $100,000 in annual offerings for the first time in its history during the December 27 closing service of Rev. Frank L. Trotter. O'Dale Player Not Told About Father's Death

Ric k Piacenca of Highland Park faced an abrupt family loss while in Carbondale for a holiday basketball tournament. His father, 54 year old Egidio Piacenca, died in Carbondale Hospital after traveling to see the game. The coroner cited unknown causes. Rick played the 10 p.m. game versus Peoria Manual, and afterward learned of his father’s death as Highland Park lost 46 to 41.

My Lai Suspect Held in Hippie District Murder

ATLANTA AP 21 year old Spec 4 Robert T'Souvas among 17 charged with murder in shotgun slaying of Barney McSherry in a hippie district rooming house.
