Blaine Highsmith of RFD 7 Mr. Vernon died Monday at Jefferson Memorial Hospital after a two week illness. He was 69 years six months eight days, a farmer and Camp Ground Baptist Church member. Survived by wife Myrtle Estes Highsmith, son William, daughters Dorothy Wright and Marie Shelton, two sisters, five grandchildren, and preceded by parents and two brothers. Funeral Wednesday at 2:09 p.m. at Camp Ground Baptist Church with burial in Memorial Gardens. Body lies in state at the church noon Wednesday after being at Myers Chapel.

Funeral services set for Thursday at 10 a.m. Myers Chapel with burial in Farnsworth cemetery Wayne county. He lies in state after 3 p.m. Wednesday. Survived by three sons Otis Paul and Ferry. daughter Mrs Charlotte Rapp. ten grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.
